What are veneers?
Versatile, beautiful, and long-lasting, veneers are a popular option for our patients facing one or more dental flaws. Made from thin shells of porcelain, veneers are custom crafted, then permanently bonded to the front of teeth to perfect the appearance of your overall smile. We are proud to offer high-quality dental veneers in Anchorage, Alaska, to help you feel confident in beauty and in health.
What can veneers fix?
Dr. Moody is able to use veneers to fix a wide variety of dental flaws, such as:
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Misshapen or irregular teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Slightly crooked teeth
- Cracked or fractured teeth
- Teeth that are unusually short
How are veneers made?
It generally takes two visits to our dental office to create and apply veneers. During your first visit, a small layer of tooth enamel is removed to prepare the tooth and molds of your smile are taken. We will also pick a beautiful shade of porcelain. This information is sent to a dental laboratory, where your veneers will be made. Once they are sent back to our office, approximately two weeks later, we will call you back in to finish your smile. The veneers are checked for quality and fit by our dentist, and then permanently cemented into place. When combined with good oral hygiene and eating habits, your dental veneers can last for up to 10 years. For more information, contact us at Anchor Dental today to schedule a cosmetic consultation!
